Persistence in prayer, our faith, and
discipleship helps keep our lives a little more level where our peaks are not
too high, and our valleys are not too low. It helps ensure we don’t fall too
far down when things go bad and don’t have to struggle as much when climbing
back up. Persistence through everything means everything.
No matter what we go through, we must be faithful
and prayerful in all that we do. No matter the hurdles we must continue to
serve Christ and spread His teachings, and His love. No matter our problems we
must faithfully know God and understand that it is all part of His plan, a plan
that is greater than anything that we can think of and just let it take shape.
And when we so desire something for ourselves, or more importantly for others,
we need to consistently ask God to help us. We can’t just pray about it a
couple times and expect Him to answer our prayer. If we truly desire something,
and are truly sincere about our requests, God will listen. He just asks for
sincerity and persistent love in return.
Life comes with its
many ups & downs . . . twists & turns. For me, it clearly reminds me of
the need to be mindful of God’s presence along the journey throughout our
lives. Let us continue as we proclaim
and reflect on the following words with prayerful hearts . . .
In closing, take a
few minutes to listen to a beautiful song from Tauren Wells entitled "Hills and Valleys". Wells is a talented American Christian
pop artist and the former front-man for the Grammy nominated Christian pop rock
band Royal Tailor. When Wells was
writing this song, a quote came to mind, "on the mountaintops of life,
learn to bow low, and in the valleys of life, learn to stand tall." He thought
that would be appropriate to incorporate into a song. Wells says he hopes the song encourages
listeners to remember, “We’re standing in God’s grace, and His grace is
enough—He’s the God of the hills and the valleys.” Below are some of lyrics
from this amazing song as well as a link to the video.
